Fall Work Week 2020

Due to ongoing concerns with the novel coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 Fall Work Week has been restructured and will now consist of small work parties of volunteers visiting the ship for short periods over the next few months. These small teams will work on various maintenance, repair, and winterizing projects. The LST-325 will remain open for our standard operating hours during this period. Crew members who wish to participate in any of these work parties should contact their department head. If you are uncertain about whom you should contact, please contact the office at (812) 435-8678 or 325office@lstmemorial.org

CLOSED to Public

In accordance with the measures being taken by other local institutions, as well as recommendations from local government regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the LST Memorial will close to the public beginning Monday, March 16 and will remain closed through Thursday, April 30.

Our primary concern is the health and safety of our visitors, volunteers, and staff members, many of whom fall within the most vulnerable age range for this outbreak.  Tours of the LST-325 involve being in close proximity which violates the recommended “social distancing” practices.

In the meantime, please take necessary precautions to stay safe and healthy.

We will continue to monitor and assess the situation to determine if any further action is required.  Updates will be shared via Facebook, Twitter, and our website.  We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding.
